Special edition Medicine Buddha Altar Sculpture

The beautiful brass figure of medicine Buddha is nicely carved out. The Lord is in a meditative posture and he is holding a medicine bowl on his left hand. Brass, reconstituted turquoise and coral are nicely used in this beautiful figure. The indigo colour drapery is covering the half of the body of the Lord. His upper part of the body is left untouched. Medicine Buddha is a fully enlightened being, who is a being who is completely free from the darkness of ignorance. It is believed that Medicine Buddha protects living beings from physical and mental sickness and other dangers and obstacles, and helps them to eradicate the three poisons – attachment, hatred, and ignorance – which are the source of all sickness and danger. He is a Buddha Doctor. Buddha expounded the Sutra of Eight Thousand Verses revealing the instructions on Medicine Buddha.
