Description

In this brass figure, Lord Shiva is seen in a new avatar. The Lord of Destruction is depicted here with a moustache in order to give a more local touch to his divinity. In this brass bust, the Lord’s hair, coiled with snakes, his third eye, sharp opened eyes and above all his moustache ---al are given prominence and are finely carved out by the artisan. The snake is also prominently carved. One of the Trinity Gods in Hinduism, Lord Shiva represents the destructive element and he is responsible for the regeneration of the Universe.
